What is a COVID Marshal?

COVID Marshals are required on all construction sites, including small-scale construction sites. They are appointed by the site's employer and do not have to be a site manager. COVID Marshals are responsible for monitoring a worksite’s compliance with its COVIDSafe Plan and additional industry-specific obligations. They also support workers to follow COVIDSafe principles and look for ways to continually improve a business’s COVIDSafe Plan.

  • Who is this course for? This course has been developed for COVID Marshals to improve their knowledge of COVID-19, infection control and how to carry out their role on site.

  • Is the course compulsory? No, but it is encouraged to ensure COVIDSafe compliance across our construction sites and help keep Victorian workers safe.

  • How long does the course take? The course takes 45 minutes to complete and is available on your phone, tablet or computer.

  • What do I get when I complete the course? You will be issued with a certificate of completion that you can download from your course dashboard.
